Ashes

The ashes should be removed with regular intervals.
Be aware that the ashes can contain hot ember even
several days after the fi re is fi nished. Use a container
of non-combustible material to remove the ashes. It is
recommended to leave a layer of ashes in the bottom
as this further insulates the burn chamber. Take
care with the insulation plates when the ashes are
removed, particularily when using an ash spade.
Thermotte®/Vermiculite Plates
These insulating plates (Fig 7) in the burn chamber
contribute to a high combustion temperature, which
leads to cleaner combustion of the wood and a higher
rate of effi ciency. Any fi ssures in the plates will not
reduce their insulation effi ciency.
If new plates are needed, contact your dealer. Please
note: Wood logs that are too long can cause additional
strain and crack the plates, due to the tension created
between the side plates.
In case it is necessary to take out the insulation
plates, this is done in following order.
1. Lower smoke baffl e plate with air chamber*
2. Back plate
3. Left corner plate
4. Right corner plate
5. Right side plate
6. Left side plate
7. Bottom plate
8. Front strip
9. Upper smoke baffl e plate** (rabbeted side up)
* When exchanging the lower smoke baffl e (part 1), the air
chamber must be removed and fastened on to the new plate.
** When exchanging the upper smoke baffl e (part 9) the steel
bracket must be removed and fastened on to the new plate.

Door and Glass

Should there be any soot on the glass it may be
necessary to clean it. Use dedicated glass cleaner.
(NB! Be careful, detergents can damage the varnish).
If different detergents are used they may damage the
glass. A good advice for cleaning the glass is to use a
damp cloth or kitchen roll paper and apply some soot
from the burn chamber. Rub around the soot on the
glass and fi nish off with a piece of clean and damp
kitchen roll paper. NB! Only clean when the glass is
cold.
Check regularly that the transition between the glass
and the door is completely tight. Possibly tighten the
screws that hold the glass in place - but not too hard,
as this can cause the glass to crack. Periodically,
it may be necessary to change the gaskets on the
door to ensure that the burn chamber is air tight and
working optimally. These gaskets can be bought as a
set including ceramic glue.
In order to unhinge the door, do as follows (FIG 8):
All manuals and user guides at all-guides.com
GB
Remove the transportation safety device (A) that is
fastened in the upper door hinge, in case it is still in
place. Open the door and tighten carefully the little
allen screw (B) that is on the inside of the door, just
above the lower hinge. The automatic closing function
is now deactivated. Hold the door and carefully press
the top of the door towards the top of the door frame
simultaneously as the lower part is pulled away from
the door frame. Lower the door until the upper hinge
releases from the door frame. Remember to loose the
Allen screw again when the door is put back on. This
will release the inner bolt in the hinge so that this will
fall in place.
REFRACTORY
GLASS CANNOT
BE RECYCLED
Refractory glass should
be disposed of as resid-
ual waste, together with
pottery and porcelain
Recycling of the refractory glass
Refractory glass cannot be recycled. Old glass, bre-
akage or otherwise unusable refractory glass, must be
discarded as residual waste. Refractory glass has a
higher melting temperature, and can therefore not be
recycled together with glass. In case it would be mixed
with ordinary glass, it would damage the raw material
and could, in worst case end the recycling of glass.
It is an important contribution to the environment to
ensure that refractory glass does not end up with the
recycling of ordinary glass.
