• Make sure that the mains plug is not plugged in.
• Unscrew the tank cover from the device and fill liquid into the tank.
• Screw the tank cover firmly back into place.
• Plug the connection plug of the remote control into the corresponding jack on the
back of the fog machine. With the model I-580X, you can additionally connect
another fog machine of the same type to the second remote control output. Both
devices are then controlled simultaneously via one remote control.
• Insert the mains plug into an earthed mains socket.
Models I-180 and I-280:
• The device heats up as soon as it is connected with the mains voltage.
Models I-380 and I-580X:
• Press the main switch on the back of the device to heat it up (position „I" or „ON").
• Depending on the model, the heating process takes approx. 5-10 minutes.
• Once the device has reached its operating temperature, it is ready for fogging.
• The operation of the different models is described at the end of this section.
• Make sure that the tank never runs empty during fogging. If this does happen, turn
the switch on the back of the device off if available (position „O" or „OFF"), sepa-
rate the fog machine from the mains voltage right away, let it cool down and refill
the tank.
• If no fog emerges, the device is still heating up or re-heating.
• A slight fogging after during the device off or unplugging it is normal and does not
indicate a defect.
• If you no longer need the device, turn the main switch off (position „O") pull the
mains plug and leave it to cool down.
• Empty the tank if you are not going to use the device for a longer period. This pre-
vents leaking of the fog liquid during transport or storage.

Model I-180

• The control indicator on the remote control blinks during heating or re-heating.
• Press the fog button on the remote control when the control indicator has gone off
to trigger the fog function.

Model I-280

This model has a manual and a timer function.
• As soon as the device is turned on, the display POWER (red) and READY (green)
light up.
• Press the green fog button on the remote control to trigger the fog function man-
ually. This button always triggers the fog output, even when the timer function is
deactivated.
• Turn the interval controller to the right to turn on the timer function. The yellow dis-
play lights up as soon as the timer function is activated.
