Fitting kit
- 1 Ø6 insert
- 1 Ø6 BHC screw
- 4 Ø6 washers
- 1 plastic collar
Assembly
- Remove the original chain guard.
- Remove the exhaust system on right hand side, the suspension and the brake hose bracket.
- Position the rear hugger without tightening all the screws, align it well with the tyre. Mark the
place of the hole on the right hand side of the swinging arm, and remove the rear hugger. Drill
the swinging arm on the marking with Ø9. Fit the aluminium insert using a custom tool
("Facom or Würth"). The collar may be used in place of the insert if you do not want to
bore the swinging arm.
- Reposition the rear hugger, making sure that it is well aligned with the tyre, the exhaust and
the suspension. Tighten progressively screws and washers.
- Don't forget to harden the rear shock absorber when you ride with a passenger or on poor
road surface to avoid damaging the rear hugger.
* Painted and varnished parts are not guaranteed against high pressure steam washes or aggressive cleaning products which can damage them and unstuck the varnish. We advise moreover, according to the technical data of our
painting suppliers, to wait one month to obtain a complete polymerization of varnish.
* Accessories gone up on the motorbike will not be any more considered as new and will be neither retaken nor exchanged.
* Ermax accessories are foreseen for original equipments. They will not be guaranteed if they are used in others conditions.
* Due to vehicles made tolerances, beyond our control, some Ermax products might need adjustings to fit.
* A few tyres, faithful to ETRTO standards, may be in fact bigger and higher than dimensions engraved on the tyre (until + 10 mm). They may be not compatible with undertrays and rear huggers which we made with original
tyres and whose dimensions correspond to these ones engraved on tyre.
* The mentioned label of motorbikes's manufacturers are indicated exclusively as a reference to Ermax accessories.
* Care to excessive clampings which may damage or break our plastic accessories and aluminium screws.
