• This appliance is provided with a safety system, which does not allow the appliance to operate if
the door is not properly closed.
• Do not operate the appliance when empty.
• Use only original accessories and spare parts.
• This appliance has been designed for HOME USE ONLY and may not be used for industrial or
commercial purposes.
• Removal of the microwave radiation protection cover represents a serious hazard to unqualified
persons. Thus, the unit must not be opened, except by qualified personnel.
• Avoid hitting the appliance.
• Ensure that the ventilation openings of the appliance are not obstructed.
• Before using the appliance for the first time ensure that the door is not damaged or bent and
closes firmly against the door support. This is important to ensure that no microwave energy is
emitted during operation.
• When heating liquids in your microwave oven, the liquid may heat up beyond boiling point
without visible evidence of bubbling. Therefore it is important to exercise extreme caution when
handling any containers, e.g. when removing them from the oven.
• When warming bottles containing food or feeding bottles in particular, always shake them well
before serving to even out the food temperature.
• Plastic bags should be punctured to avoid them to explode inside the microwave oven.
• Never use metallic materials, utensils made of melanin, crystal objects, plastic containing vinyl,
aluminium pans and foils or metallic skewer for microwave cooking.
• Do not place the food directly onto the glass turntable; always use a suitable plate or cooking
container.
• Never attempt to fry food inside the microwave: fire risk!
• Should any smoke be noticed or burnt smell coming out from the microwave, switch off the
appliance immediately and keep the door closed to inhibit or smother any flames.
• Do not use the appliance for storing food when it is switched off, as it may be extremely
dangerous in case of unintentional operating of the microwave.
• Do not place any objects on the units.
• When positioning the unit, ensure that is not placed near curtains, flammable materials, steam,
heat or cold sources.
• Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface, which can support the microwave oven and its
contents.
• Adequate ventilation must be ensured all times. Following minimum distances must be
maintained from the wall or other objects: 15 cm at the sides, 10 cm at the rear and 30 cm at
the top of the appliance.
• Place the microwave at least 85 cm above the floor-level in order to keep it out of reach of
children.
Instructions for use
Cooking time depends on the quantity and the type of food to be cooked.
Vegetables must be cut into small pieces before cooking.
If necessary, add some water during cooking.
Before serving cooked food wait till the heat is evenly distributed.
Defrosting instructions
Frozen food contained in plastic bags may be put directly on the oven, provided that they don't
have any metallic part.
Some types of food like vegetables or fishes don't need to be thoroughly defrosted before
cooking.
Defrosting process of foods containing water, stews and meat sauce is shorter if you stir the food
every once in a while.
There is some loss of liquids when defrosting frozen meat, fishes and vegetables, therefore it is
advisable to put them in a suitable container before defrosting.
Defrosting times for pre-packaged frozen food must be shorter as those indicated on the
packaging.
