Note:
Use application software to set up the Key Lock key.
Attaching Peripheral Devices
To attach a peripheral device, remove the rear cover.
Removing the Rear Cover
Loosen the screw located in the center of the back of the IR-700, and then remove
the rear cover shown in Illustration Q.
To put the rear cover back on, align the tabs on the lower side of the cover with the
notches (shown in Illustration R) on the main unit.
Connecting USB Devices
USB devices can be connected to the USB connectors on the side, the back of the
main unit, and on the 60 POS-keyboard. The positions of the USB connectors (2 in
each location) are A 12, C 27 and D 35.
Note:
To boot the main unit using a USB device, connect the USB device to C 27. Do not
connect the USB device to D 35. (D 35 does not support boot.)
Connecting/Disconnecting USB Devices
Be sure to check the orientation of the connector before connecting a USB device.
The method to disconnect a USB device differs depending on whether the power
is on. Follow the methods described below to disconnect a USB device.
When the IR-700 is On
See the specifications of the operating system for connecting and disconnecting a
USB device when the IR-700 is powered on.
When the IR-700 is Off
You can disconnect a connected USB device without any preparation.
Maintenance
Cleaning
CAUTION:
Never clean the product with alcohol, benzine, thinner, or other such solvents.
Doing so may damage or break the parts made of plastic and rubber.
Display
Wipe away the dirt with a cloth that is dry or slightly moistened with ethanol or
isopropyl alcohol.
Keyboard
Remove dust with a small vacuum cleaner.
IR-700
Remove dust around the openings with a small vacuum cleaner.
