Tighten the oil filler screw.

Turn the product to its operation position.
5.1.2 To change the hydraulic oil
Note! Change the hydraulic oil after every 150 h of
operation.

Stop the product. Make sure that all moving parts
have completely stopped.

Pull out the power plug.

Turn the product to its short side to the ground with
the motor down.

Loosen the oil filler screw (C). (Figure 2)

Tip the product to its support legs and let the oil go
out into a container that holds a minimum of 2.4 l.

Troubleshooting

Problem
The motor does not start.
The wooden log does not split.
The piston does not move
smoothly, the product makes
abnormal noise or vibrates.
Oil leaks out around the piston.

Possible cause
The overload protection is applied.
The wooden log is not in correct
position.
The wooden log is too wide or too
hard to split.
The edge on the splitting wedge is
blunt.
There is a oil leak.
Unauthorised adjustment of the
adjusting screw for maximum
pressure.
Too little hydraulic oil and too much
air in the hydraulic system.
There is air in the hydraulic system.
The vent screw is not tight when the
product is moved.
Drain plug and dipstick is not
tightened correctly.
The seals are worn.
The valves are worn.

Turn the product to its short side to the ground with
the motor down.

Fill with hydraulic oil.

Tighten the oil filler screw.

Turn the product to its operation position.

Make sure that no oil leaks out.

5.2 To sharpen the wedge

● Remove burrs and damage on the edge on the wedge
with a fine file.

5.3 To clean the product

● Clean the product with a dry cloth.
Let the motor become cool. Push the reset
button for the overload protection.
Put the wooden log in correct position.
Discard the wooden log.
Refer to "5.2 To sharpen the wedge" on page
28.

Do a check of the hydraulic oil level. Refer to
"5.1 To do a check of the hydraulic oil" on page
