- Pour / set filter balls evenly to the tank (15) without pressing them together. Suitable
amount is about 500 g, depending of material and fiber supplier.
Connection to the hot tub – See page 67
1. The suction side of the pump on the front of the prefilter is connected to the outlet of the
hot tub.
2. The outlet POOL of the multiport valve is connected to the inlet / return of the hot tub.
3. The WASTE outlet of the valve is directed to the drain (Part of the hose kits hose can be
used to this or you and purchase more 32 / 38 mm hose for that.
Priming the pump
If the pool / hot tub is installed higher than the pump then the water will automatically flow in the
pump when all possible valves are open and there is water in the pool
If the pump does not fill up. Open the prefilter cover and fill the pump and prefilter with water.
Clean the prefilter, check the gasket and close the prefilter.
NOTICE! Only tighten by hand.
Now the pumps should start pumping.
Note that the time for water to start flowing fully depends on the length of the pipes and height
differences of installation.
General
The filter should be used so that it will recycle the pool water a few times with one usage. And this
should be repeated every day. In practice let it run between 2-3 hours / day depending on the pool
volume and usage.
The backwash of the filter mass should be made at least twice per month. Follow the filter
tank pressure and do the backwash when necessary.
Note the initial pressure gauge reading when the filter is clean. (it will vary from pool depending
upon the pump and general piping system). As the filter removes dirt and impurities from the pool
water, the accumulation in the filter will cause the pressure to rise and flow to diminish. When the
pressure gauge reading is 8-10 PSI (0.5-0.7 bar) higher than the initial "clean" pressure you noted,
it is the time to backwash (clean) the filter mass at the latest
In hot tub use we recommend you, to make the backwash 2-3 times every month.
