programmed to shut off automatically after about 12 minutes. A longer
working time is completely normal when using the unit in altitude.
SAFETY CUT-OUT
This cordless digital water kettle is protected with an automatic
•
safety device, if accidentally switched on without water. However,
please bear in mind that only the thermostat is switched off in case
of overheat, whereas the kettle stays on.
If this happens, switch off the appliance by pressing the off button
•
(C) and wait about 10 minutes for the kettle to cool. Then, pour in
sufficient cold water to cover the bottom of the kettle. This will reset
the safety device.
After completing this process, the kettle may be used as normal
•
again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the
•
appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled
down.
To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft, damp
•
cloth and dry thoroughly.
Never use abrasive products, powders or scouring pads.
•
Under no circumstances shall the jug kettle or its power base be
•
immersed in water.
To remove mineral deposits from the water kettle, use products
•
(decalcifying solutions) made especially available for this purpose.
Make sure to use a type recommended for kettles or coffee makers.
Follow the guidelines as recommended by the manufacturer of the
de-calcifying solution. Rinse well.
FILTER

Your appliance is provided with a mesh filter. This filter is factory pre-
installed before the spout.
•
It is important to clean regularly.
