Intended Use
•
This article is suitable for use as a dec-
oration indoors and outdoors. The bowl
can be planted with fl owers, fi lled with
water etc.

The article is not a toy!

use only and is not intended for com-
mercial applications.

The article should only be used as
described in these operating instruc-
tions. Any other use is deemed to be
improper.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING – Danger of Suff ocation!
Keep the packaging material away from
children and animals.
■
WARNING – Danger of Burns from
Battery Acid! Batteries can be deadly
if swallowed. Keep batteries and the
article out of the reach of children and
animals. If a battery is swallowed, seek
medical assistance immediately.
■
CAUTION – Danger of Burns from
Battery Acid! If a battery has leaked,
do not allow your skin, eyes and mu-
cous membranes to come into contact
with the battery acid. If you touch bat-
tery acid, rinse the aff ected area with
abundant fresh water immediately and
contact a doctor as soon as possible.
■
Before inserting the batteries, check
whether the contacts in the article and
on the batteries are clean, and clean
them if necessary.
■
Use only the battery type specifi ed in
the "Technical Data".
■
Always replace all batteries together.
Do not use batteries of diff erent types
or brands, or batteries with diff erent
capacities. When replacing batteries,
ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).

Take the batteries out of the article
when they are dead or if the article is
not going to be used for a prolonged
period. This will prevent any damage if
a battery leaks.

Protect the article from naked fl ames
and impact.
■
Never immerse the column in water
or other liquids. It is only resistant to
splashing.
■
During extreme weather conditions
(e. g. storm, hail) or if the article will not
be used for a long time, switch it off and
store it in a dry place.
■
Do not take the article apart and do not
attempt to repair it. In the event of any
damage, please contact our customer
service department.
■
Do not use any caustic or abrasive
cleaning agents for cleaning. These
can damage the surface.

Check the items supplied for complete-
ness and for possible transport damage. If
you should fi nd any transport damage, do
not (!) use the article, but contact the cus-
tomer service department.

Operating Instructions
2 x 1.5 V batteries of the AA type
are required. These are not supplied
with the article.
Inserting / Changing Batteries
The battery compartment is located inside
the decorative column.
1. Take off the bowl.
2. Reach into the decorative column and
pull the battery compartment down out
of the holder. To do this, pull the holder
forwards slightly.
3. To open the battery compartment, fl ip
up both catches and open up the bat-
tery compartment cover.
4. Take used batteries out if necessary
and insert 2 new 1.5 V batteries of the
AA type. Pay attention to the correct
polarity (+ / –) (see inside of battery
compartment).
5. Flip the battery compartment cover shut
again and fl ip down the two catches so
that you feel and hear them engage.
6. Insert the battery compartment back
into the holder.
If the performance of the article diminishes
or it starts to fl icker, the batteries should be
replaced.
The battery performance may be
severely restricted in temperatures
well below freezing.
Operating Instructions
Use
1. Positioning the Article – Set up the
article in a suitable place.
2. Switching On – Move the On / Off
switch on the decorative column to the I
(On) position to switch on the LED.
TIMER: The LED lights up for 6 hours
before
automatically
switching
It automatically switches back on
again after 18 hours (24-hour mode).
Once the timer has been activated, the
article saves this setting. The article
can be switched off or on by pressing
the On / Off switch.
3. Switching Off – Move the On / Off
switch to the 0 (Off ) position to switch
off the LED.

and take it to a recycling centre.
