If the battery is not disconnected from the charger after charging is complete, the charger switches to charge retention.
This counteracts self-discharge so that the battery's state of charge can be maintained.

Display and operating unit
On the front of the charger is the operating and display unit with four light elements (one of which is a red/white dual LED)
and a pause button. The charger has optional an USB connection for software updates and reading out the charging
history. Work on the charger may only be carried out by trained personnel.

LED display
The charge state of the battery is indicated by the LEDs and in case of an error, an error code is also output via these
LEDs. The meaning of the LED display is described in more detail below.
