ATTENTION:
Always obey these rules and other specifications and the most astringent local safety regulations.
Technical specifications for recharging the battery
Before the first use of the device, recharge the battery completely for at least approximately 3 hours!
Battery voltage: 36V
Capacity: 5,0 Ah
Output power: 180 Wh
Temperature range:
During use:from 0°C to 40°C
During charging:from 0°C to 45°C
Storage: 3 months at a temperature between 0°C and 40°C
NOTE:
If the battery is used, recharged or stored outside of the specified temperature limits, the warranty could
get voided, and the performance of the battery can also get reduced.
• To optimize the performance, recharge the battery at least once a month or at least after 12 total
combined hours of use plus use cycles for a recharge period of at least 2 hours
• The recharge should always be carried out within the specified temperature limits.
Battery charge status and recharge:
The battery is supplied with a 5 LED display which indicates the charge level of the battery.
Press the button (1) to view the battery charge level:
• 5 green LEDs on = battery charged 100%
• 3 green LEDs on = battery charged 60%
• 1 green LEDs on = battery almost discharged
ATTENTION:
If the battery does not get charged, it can get discharged completely and will stay permanently damaged
over time!
The recharge time depends on various factors:
• The charge level achieved – the lower the charge level, the longer time needed to recharge
• Battery temperature – a battery which is too cold or too hot will take longer to recharge or may not
get completely recharged! The most effective recharge normally occurs with the median range of the
specified temperatures.
BATTERY RECHARGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Recharge the battery only in a clean and dry location, within the recommended temperature limits.
The recharge must be carried out without exceptions only through the use of the Li-ion battery charger
L3640ST supplied with the machine! In case of necessity or doubt, contact the authorized service centre.
ATTENTION:
• Do not connect the battery charger to the electrical outlet if the power cord or the plug are wet or moist.
The electrical device is not sufficiently insulated against moisture!
• Do not leave the battery in recharge for an indefinite or excessive period of time! This can damage the
battery even if it is protected against overcharge.
• Connect the battery charger only to an approved electrical outlet. The plug must be situated in proximity
to the device and easily accessible.
