Troubleshooting

Not every fault necessarily means the equipment is defect. Maybe one of the tips
below can help make the telephone operational again. Refer to the faults below and
check the causes and corrective action according to the operating manual.
Fault
Receiver lifted, no
dialling tone.
No calls.
In PBX systems:
No or incorrect con-
nection after dialling
from a memory, e.g.
one−touch dialling.
R
key does not
work.
Red LED lights up
continuously when in
Standby.

Possible Cause
Telephone line or re-
ceiver cable not plugged
in correctly.
Receiver is not placed
on−hook properly.
Ringing tone is set too
quiet.
Number for an outside
line not dialled.
Flash time is set incor-
rectly.
The a/b connection wires
on the telephone line
connection have been
mistakenly swapped
over.
Corrective Measures
Connect telephone line and
receiver cable properly.
Place receiver properly on the
hook.
Increase the ringing volume.
Enter the number for an out-
side line, inserting a dialling
pause if necessary.
Use the sliding switch to ad-
just the Flash time.
The a/b wires in the UAE
must be changed over.
