Please read these instructions fully and watch the customer service video
enclosed or provided by your retailer prior to using your Ridgi-dome for the
first time.
If this tent is not erected in accordance with the instructions damage could be caused to the joints,
poles or fabric. It is important that the tent is properly guyed at all times, particularly in strong
winds – otherwise pole or joint damage may occur.
DO NOT PUSH TENT PEGS IN BY HAND, ALL TENT PEGS SHOULD BE
DRIVEN HOME USING A WOODEN OR RUBBER FACED MALLET OR
SIMILAR TOOL.

- Page 2 This guarantee is in addition to the buyers statutory rights. Warranty is valid provided that the KHYAM tent is used under normal conditions for the specified purpose and that the instructions have been carefully followed.
- Page 3 INSTRUCTIONS. Erecting The main Structure And Bedroom Sections. MAIN DOME ERECTION 1/ Remove your KHYAM Ridgi-dome from its Valise (FIG 1) and spread out in a star shape on the ground (See FIG 2). At this point please note that each of the four main poles has three joints.
- Page 4 4/ Keeping the lower joint on the floor extend the automatic joints as far away from the hub as possible as FIG 5 shown in FIG 6. FIG 6 5/ With one finger, the manual joint closest to the hub can now be locked as in FIG 7.
- Page 5 7/ If two people erect the tent, one person holding the central hub will allow the other to lock off the joints in accordance with the above points. The tri-guy system described on page 5 can be used to temporarily secure the tent on it’s “knees”.
- Page 6 Assemble the two poles ensuring you have not missed out any COMPLETE roof pole sleeve sections. PORCH POLE 3/ Please note the guying eye on the joint should face towards FIG 15 the flysheet, see D. 4/ Locate the pole end spike of each upright bedroom pole into the hole in the grey plastic foot of the main pole section.
- Page 7 BEDROOM POLES ( XXL EXCELSIOR ) If you have purchased the XXL Excelsior model please note that the erection instructions are the same as the XXL Classic with the exception of the bedroom poles. The XXL Excelsior bedroom poles are steel and use pre formed pole sections for the roof section of the bedroom as opposed to the aluminium poles and auto joints referred to and pictured in the XXL Classic section.

POSITIONING AND PEGGING OF TRI GUY ROPES AND STANDARD GUY ROPES 1/ The Ridgi-dome pole system, as with all Khyam tents, is on the outside thus offering an infinite number of guying positions just by simply attaching a guy rope to the frame work itself. -

13 FIG 25 TAKING YOUR KHYAM RIDGI-DOME DOWN 1/ Taking your Ridgi-dome down is simply a reversal of the erection procedure. First unclip an remove all inner tents and fold neatly in half keeping the inner fabric inwards to protect it from mud and wet grass etc. -

6/ First remove any pegs you have left in for stability whilst taking any bedroom, porch or annexe sections down etc. Starting at any of the four main poles, take hold of the lower manual joint and apply a small amount of pressure inwards towards the centre of the tent. - Page 11 7/ Now that your Ridgi-dome is on its ‘camels knees’ depress one of the manual joints closest to the hub (FIG 32) allowing Fig 32 the collar to slide past the tongue (FIG 33). Fig 33 8/ While supporting the centre hub with one hand lift the joint which will cause the automatic joint to fold inwards (FIG 34).
- Page 12 10/ Lay the main poles on the ground and draw round the fabric and fold into 2 rectangles either side of the main poles as shown in FIG 37. Take the fabric from one side of the main poles and lay on the fabric on the other side and roll.

- Page 17 DEMONTAGE DE VOTRE RIDGI-DOME 1/ Le démontage de votre Ridgi-Dome est tout simplement la procédure inverse du montage. Tout d’abord, démontez les chambres et pliez-les par moitié, en les enveloppant dans le tapis de sol pour les protéger de la boue, de l’herbe humide, etc.

- Page 19 AUTRES CONSEILS UTILES 1. Ne jamais retirer les piquets en tirant sur les mâts ou sur le tissu. Ceci endommagerait les embases des mâts et annulerait la garantie. Toujours utiliser un autre piquet ou un tire-piquet. 2. Si vous brisez une embase grise, elle peut être remplacée facilement. Une embase de secours est fournie dans le kit de réparation.
