Product Overview
Intended Use
The Single-Patient-Use MX40 Patient Cables are intended to provide
ambulatory and bedside monitoring of ECG/Impedance Respiration, or
ECG/Impedance Respiration plus SpO
greater than 40kg and pediatrics who weigh greater than 20kg. The cables
are for use with IntelliVue MX40 patient wearable monitors, and are
intended to be used by trained healthcare personnel in a professional
healthcare facility.
Cable Configurations
The MX40 Single-Patient-Use Cables are available in ECG only or
ECG/SpO
configurations (see below).

**The cable for the attached SpO
patient application site is any finger except a thumb.
Warnings
• These patient cables are for single patient use only. They should never be
reused on a different patient due to risk of cross-infection.
• To avoid patient injury, assure that leadset is not positioned where leads
could become entangled around patient, or cause choking, strangulation,
or inhibit circulation in extremities.
• Protect the patient cable trunk connector, ECG lead connectors, and
SpO2 sensor from becoming soaked with any liquid.
