6.4. START UP AND STOPPAGE
Start up of the machine:
Place the switch in the ¨I¨ position.
The blades of the shredder will start
functioning.
Stopping the machine:
Place the switch in the ¨O¨ position. The engine of the
machine will stop and after a few seconds the blades
will stop as well.
After disconnecting the machine, the blades keep
turning for a few seconds due to the inertia effect.
Wait for the blades to stop before connecting the
machine again. Do not connect and disconnect the
machine in short intervals.
Note: This shredder has a security device that will
stop the machine in the following situations:
- If too much material is accumulated in the cutting
blades.
- If the material being shredded is too resistant for
the engine capacity.
- When there is an undue resistance on the blades.
If you detect that the machine does not start when
the switch is placed in the ¨I¨ position check that the
blades are clean and with no elements blocking the
blades and press the restart button.
6.5. CHECKING POINTS AFTER START UP
Check that the shredder once started but with no work
load starts correctly, the engine runs smoothly and
the blades do not hit against any element. If you hear
Opening
any strange noises or you detect that the machine
knob
does not work properly, stop the machine and check
if there are residues or other strange elements in the
machine. If the problems persist, take the machine to
your nearest authorised after sales service.
