Do not use this machine in explosive atmospheres
such as in the presence of inflammable liquids,
gases and dust. Electric machines cause sparks that
could ignite an explosive atmosphere.
Maintain children and passers-by well away from
the work place. Distractions can cause loss of
control. Be alert and ensure that children, passers-by,
other people and animals do not enter the work area.
The work area is at least 3 metres in circumference
with the machine in the middle.
Do not use this machine when there are other
unprotected persons in the work area. Other persons
must wear goggles, ear protectors and gloves at all
times.
Place the machine on firm and clear ground and
never too near to a wall. The work area should not
be a hard floor to avoid the expelled elements from
rebounding on the ground and causing injuries.
Before leaving the machine unattended, disconnect
it, wait for the blades to stop and disconnect from the
mains.
2.4. ELECTRIC SECURITY
Do not touch the mains or the cables with wet hands.
Connect this machine only to alternate current
230v/50Hz.
The electric plug of the machine must coincide with
the mains. Never modify the electric plug in any way.
Untouched plugs will reduce the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such us
pipes, radiators, electric kitchens and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your
body is earthed.
Do not expose this machine to rain or
humid conditions. The water that enters
the machine will increase the risk of electric
shock.
Do not overreach the cable. Do not use the cable
to carry, lift or unplug the machine. Maintain the
cable well away of heat sources, oil, sharp edges
and pieces in movement. Damaged cables or tangled
cables increase the risk of electric shock.
Never use this machine with the cable or plug
damaged. Before connecting the machine check
the plug and cable for possible damages. If you see
any damages, send the machine to your nearest
service agent for its repair. If the cable is damaged
or broken, unplug immediately. Damaged cables or
tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
The substitution of the plug or cable should always be
done by the manufacturer or the service agent.
We recommend that the machine is connected to a
residual differential device whose current is less or
equal to 30mA. This device should be checked prior
to every use.
Never use a damaged connector or a damaged
cable extension and ensure that it complies with the
required normative and for the specific requirements
of this machine. When using a cable extension, make
sure it has a minimum section of 2,5mm, no longer
than 25 metres in length and ensure it is adequate for
outdoor use. Both the plug and the cable extension
should be waterproof and should not be submerged.
The use of an adequate cable extension for outdoor
use reduces the risk of electric shock.
Place the cable extension ensuring it does not tangle
with branches or other obstacles and maintain the
work place clean of objects. The cable extension
should always be behind the end user.
