d) Location
When drilling or tightening screws, make sure there are no cables, wires or pipes
located underneath the surface. Inadvertently drilling through electric cables can
cause life- threatening danger of an electric shock!
This sensor is designed for outdoor use.
The transmission range of the sensor is up to 30 meters. The range can be reduced due
to some factors (e.g. walls, metal objects and electronic devices). Refer to the operating
instructions of your console for more details.
• The sensor is designed for outdoor use. Place the sensor within 30 meters away from your
console.
• You can mount the sensor on a wall using the mounting hole (4).
• To prevent false temperature measurements, do not place the sensor in direct sunlight or
near a source of heat.
e) DCF Signal Reception
The sensor can receive the DCF time signal (radio controlled clock signal), and transmit that
information to your console to synchronize time and date.
• Make sure both weather station and outdoor sensor are powered on by inserting the battery.
• The sensor automatically receives the DCF signal at 2:00 and 17:00 every day.
• Press the
button (2) to manually receive the DCF signal. The LED indicator (1) flashes
several times then goes off.
• The following factors can affect the sensor receiving the DCF signal:
- Reinforced concrete and coated wallpapers
- Metal-coated insulated glass windows
- Proximity to electronic devices
- Sensor placement in a cellar.

• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
