Dear Customer,
Your purchase of this innovative JBL ProSilent air pump is a wise decision. JBL ProSilent air pumps run very quietly due to the
use of a noise suppressor. JBL ProSilent air pumps are virtually silent. Precise manufacture and high-grade materials provide
a maximum lifespan.
Safety precautions
Caution: Basic safety precautions including the following should be observed in order to protect from injuries and/or elec-
tric shock:
1.
Read and follow all of the safety tips.
2.
Make sure that the operating voltage indicated on the name-plate is in accordance with your mains voltage.
3.
Do not place the air pump on or over the aquarium. If the device falls into the water, do not try to retrieve it! Pull
the power plug first and then remove the device.
4.
The aquarium and the device should be positioned next to a wall socket in such a way that no water can splash
onto the socket or the plug. The power cable of the device should hang below the socket in a "drip loop" fashion
to prevent water running along the cable from getting into the socket.
5.
Never pull the plug if the socket or plug is wet! First, turn off the circuit that this device is connected to by using
the fuse switch. And then pull the plug. Check the socket and the plug for water.
6.
This device is not intended to be used by persons with a physical, sensory or mental impairment (including chil-
dren). The same applies to persons with a lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by
a person who is responsible for their safety and gives sufficient instructions so that the safety of these users is
ensured.
7.
Children should always be supervised in order to ensure that the device is not misused as a toy.
8.
Always disconnect the device from the power supply when it is not in use, before installing or removing parts, or
before cleaning. Never pull on the cable when disconnecting, but instead, always grasp the plug and pull it out.
Never pull the plug with wet hands!
