GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read and understand this owner's manual before op-
erating this product. You can help prevent accidents
by being familiar with your product's controls and by
observing safe operating procedures and safety signs.
Always use your common sense to avoid all situations
considered beyond your capability. Do not use while
you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or any other medication. Keep bystanders and animals
that could be hurt, as well as items that could be dam-
aged away, while operating. Never allow children or
people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the
product. Local laws may restrict the minimum age of
the operator. Bear in mind that the operator or user
is responsible for accidents or unexpected events oc-
curring to other people, animals or their property. Do
not expose the product to excessive moisture, dust,
dirt or corrosive vapors. Do not mount equipment or
accessories on the machine not foreseen or approved
by the manufacturer. Never attempt to modify the
product. Non-authorized modifications or accessories
can result in serious personal injury or the death of the
operator or others. Consult your authorized dealer for
disassembly and service, not covered in this manual. If
something breaks or an accident occurs while working,
turn off the machine immediately and move it away to
prevent further damage. In case foreign body has en-
tered the machine, stop it immediately, inspect it for
any damage and make repairs before starting it again.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Make sure that you use appropriate and certified
protective equipment when operating the unit
(e.g. protective gloves, goggles, half-mask respi-
rator and ear protection). Always wear clothing
which does not hamper movements, and an-
ti-shear safety boots with non–slip soles.
FIRE AND BURN HAZARDS
Electric equipment malfunctions can cause sparks
which could ignite flammable material.
Make sure that you keep your work area clean and
tidy and do not use the machine near flammable
material. The machine must not be used in the
presence of corrosive or potentially explosive at-
mospheres. Never smoke near the unit. Potential
sources of fire or spark should be kept away. Pay
attention to fire hazards when refueling the unit.
If a fire occurs, use an appropriate fire extinguish-
er.
CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARDS
Operate only outdoors. Never run the machine
indoors as the diesel burner exhausts poisonous
carbon monoxide, an odorless and colorless gas.
Inhaling carbon monoxide will cause nausea,
fainting or death. If the appliance is to be used
in an enclosed space (not advisable), install a flue
gas extraction system and guarantee adequate
ventilation.
The rating done by the manufacturer determines
PWH 130 PRO | PWH 170 PRO
a production of exhaust gases with a CO content
lower than 0,04% and a smoke content corre-
sponding to a smoke point nr.2 Shell-Bacharach
according to the laws in force.
FUEL HAZARDS
Fuel is toxic and flammable. Follow the instruc-
tions provided by each manufacturer before use.
Make sure that there is some distance between
any spare fuel tank and the unit, to prevent unnec-
essary danger. Refuel only outdoors in a well-ven-
tilated area with the engine off. Do not refuel dur-
ing operation. Do not overfill the fuel tank. Never
smoke near fuel. Keep sources of fire and spark
away. Make sure that any and all spilled fuel has
been wiped off before starting the engine. Slowly
open the fuel tank to allow the pressure inside to
decrease gradually.
CATEGORY SAFETY WARNINGS
SAFE OPERATION
All of the operational levers and switches of the
machine must move from one position to the oth-
er easily and must not need forcing. The electric
cables and in particular the main plug cable must
be in perfect condition to avoid the generation of
any sparks or the risk of electric shock. The hand-
grips and protection devices must be clean and
dry as well as securely fastened to the machine.
Operate the machine with both hands. Make sure
that you always use the correct tool for each job
in order to avoid machine failure or injury and
avoid overloading the machine. Use only original
accessories that can allow safe working of the
appliance. Make sure that the machine switch is
off when plugging it in, in order to avoid risk due
to unintentional starting. Remove any keys and
wrenches from the machine before operating.
Make sure that you stop the machine and unplug
it from mains:
When mounting or removing accessories and
f
tools.
Whenever you leave the machine unattended.
f
During cleaning or maintenance.
f
During machine repositioning, transportation or
f
storage.
In case of a malfunction or jam of the machine,
switch the machine off immediately and remove
it from power source. The machine should not
be started again if the jam is not cleared or the
malfunction amended, at an authorized service
center when needed.
The flexible hose connecting the lance to the high
pressure cleaner must not be damaged. In case of
damage, replace it immediately. Hoses, connec-
tions and fittings for high pressure systems are
very important to guarantee the safety of the
high pressure cleaner.
The high pressure water jet causes a reaction
power on the lance. Hold the lance grip vigorous-
ly. While working it is forbidden, to stop the trig-
ger (lever) of the lance in delivery position.
Do not clog the openings or the ventilation grilles
and the heat and smoke extraction systems.
