Connect & Initial Setup
Power Cord Hookup
This unit is supplied with a fixed-plug type AC adapter.
Connect the power cord to DC IN of the unit and then
connect to the outlet. Always disconnect the outlet side first
when disconnecting the power cord.
Download the Music Control App
Use the Music Control App to setup the unit and operate it.
Download the Music Control App from Google Play or the
App Store to your smartphone or tablet.

Initial Setup

Perform the following operation while the Light Ring on this
unit lights orange and rotates. Note that you need an Amazon
account to use the Amazon Alexa Voice Service on this unit.
Arrange an Amazon account before starting.

When using an Android handset
1. Connect your Android handset to the access point.
2. Start the Music Control App.
3. After tapping "Setup" in the first screen, follow the on-
screen guidance to select this unit and search.
0 When registering a second unit, first touch the "
then select "Setup". After this, follow the on-screen
guidance to select this unit and search.
4. Tap "Setup" again, enter the password of the access point,
then tap "Next".
5. When the screen switches to the one for selecting the
name, connection to the network is successful. The screen
changes to the one for registering Amazon Alexa after you
select the name to apply to this unit.
6. Follow the on-screen guidance to log in with your Amazon
account and register this unit.
7. When you tap "Done", the screen switches to the Music
Control App top screen. To exit the settings, close the app.
To use the app to play music, tap the name of this unit that
you selected in step 5, then select the service to play.
When using an iOS device
1. From the home screen of the iOS device, select "Settings"
"Wi-Fi" to enable Wi-Fi.
2. Select this unit in the Wi-Fi setting screen of the iOS
device.
Display example: PlayFiDeviceXXXXXX
3. Close the setting screen and then start up the Music
Control App.
4. Follow the on-screen guidance to select the network to
which the unit is to be connected, enter the password and
tap "Setup".
5. When the screen switches to the one for selecting the
name, connection to the network is successful. The screen
changes to the one for registering Amazon Alexa after you
select the name to apply to this unit.
6. Follow the on-screen guidance to log in with your Amazon
account and register this unit.
7. When you tap "Done", the screen switches to the Music
Control App top screen. To exit the settings, close the app.
To use the app to play music, tap the name of this unit that
you selected in step 5, then select the service to play.
0 You can also register with Amazon Alexa later. Tap "
the Home screen of the app, select "Amazon Alexa" and
register this unit.
