– Pre-heating time depends on the selected temperature setting.
The higher the selected temperature, the longer the pre-heating time.
When you are done grilling, remove the plug from the outlet.
How to use the appliance?
This appliance is intended solely for household use.
Before using the appliance for the first time
1. Remove all packing material and any labels.
2. Use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe the griddle on both sides (ribbed and smooth),
removing any dust collected on them. Wipe the griddle dry using a soft cloth of a
paper towel.
3. Choose the spot where you will use the appliance. Leave enough room between
the back of the appliance and the wall, to make sure the heat radiated by the
appliance does not damage the kitchen cupboards or walls.
4. Set the temperature adjustment dial (E) to the off position (rotate it in the
clockwise direction).
5. Connect the appliance to the power mains that complies with the specifications
on the rating plate or label. When power is supplied to the appliance, the white
indicator light (F) will light up.
6. Use the temperature adjustment dial (E) to set a low temperature for pre-heating
the griddle. Then, set the appropriate temperature according to the food you wish
to grill.
7. Do not use metal utensils to remove fat or food, as these can damage the non-
stick coating. Always use a spatula or another heat-resistant accessory made of
wood or silicone.
8. During grilling, make sure the juices or other liquids that may be difficult to clean
once the appliance cools down do not enter the slot between the griddle (A) and
the heat deflector plate (B).
9. Important: Steam can be released from the griddle (A). Be careful and make sure
your hands or face are not scalded by the steam.
10. After use, rotate the temperature adjustment dial to the off position (rotate it in the
clockwise direction), unplug the appliance, and wait for it to cool down to room
temperature before you start cleaning it.
11. Carefully remove the removable drip tray (H) and discard the cooled fat before
washing the tray.
