T MISFEED REMOVAL

The copier will stop when a misfeed occurs. The
misfeed ( t ) indicator will blink, and blinking green
misfeed location indicators will indicate the ap-
proximate misfeed location.
After removing the misfed paper, open and close the
front cover and ensure that all the misfeed indicators
have gone out.
If paper is accidentally torn during removal, be sure to
remove all pieces.
Be careful not to damage the photoconductive drum or
the corona wires.
For misfeeds in optional equipment, see the respec-
tive sections of the operation manual.
If a misfeed occurs in the bypass tray,
the copy quantity display. See below.

Misfeed in the paper tray
1. Press buttons on both sides to unlatch
the front cover and open it.
2. Press the release lever to open the
copier.
CAUTION
Be sure to open the upper unit slowly
and gently, and do not let go of it until
it is fully open.
3. Remove the misfed paper.
• Be careful not to tear the misfed
paper during removal.
4. Push down the upper half of the cop-
ier to close it.
5. Close the front cover.
• Confirm that the t indicator has
gone out.

Wenn ein Papierstau auftritt, stoppt der Kopierer. Die
Papierstauanzeige ( t ) blinkt, und blinkende grüne
Lämpchen zeigen die Stelle an, an der der Stau
vermutlich aufgetreten ist.
Nach Entfernen des Papierstaus muß die Frontabdek-
kung geöffnet und wieder geschlossen werden, so
daß alle Papierstauanzeigen erlöschen.
Sollte ein Blatt beim Beseitigen eines Papierstaus
zerreißen, darauf achten, daß alle Papierstücke ent-
fernt werden.
Darauf achten, daß die Photoleitertrommel oder die
Coronadrähte nicht beschädigt werden.
Bei Papierstau in Zubehörteilen siehe entsprechende
Abschnitte in der Bedienungsanleitung.
Wenn ein Papierstau am Mehrfacheinzug entsteht,
:
blinkt
auf der Anzeige der Kopienanzahl (siehe
unten).
Papierstau im Papierfach
1. Frontabdeckung öffnen und Entriege-
lungshebel zum Öffnen des Kopie-
rers drücken.
2. Knöpfe an beiden Seiten drücken und
Frontverkleidung ausklinken und öff-
nen.
ACHTUNG
Die Fixierzone ist heiß. Vorsicht beim
Entfernen des Papiers.
3. Gestautes Papier entfernen.
• Darauf achten, daß das gestaute
Papier beim Entfernen nicht reißt.
4. Oberteil des Kopierers herunter-
drücken und schließen.
5. Frontabdeckung schließen.
• Überprüfen, ob die Papierstauan-
zeige t erloschen ist.
