CV#105,106 User Data: In these CVs you may save arbitrary
values for whatever need you have. The values have no kind of
influence on the working conditions of the decoder.
• CV#112 User Configuration Register 2: If activated the short
time memory keeps the decoders state for about 5 seconds in
analogue mode before reacting to changed conditions. So short
faults in the electricity supply have no effect.

• CV#113 Frequency of Random Events: This CV sets the
shortest time between random events. The time ranges from 32
milli-seconds (e.g. for simulating a fireplace) up to 16 seconds
(e.g. for switching on and off the light in a compartment coach).

manufacturer. Contains additional information about the actual
software version used in the decoder (=> CV#7).

5. Error handling

Light is turned on and off when increasing DCC speed steps:
The operation modes of the light bar and the central station
are different. The latter is sending in 28 speed step mode but
the decoder estimates the 14/27 mode. Operation modes of
the decoder and the central station have to be the same for
proper a operation. You should change the decoder settings.
Select 28 speed steps by setting CV#29 to '02' or '06'.
Light is not switchable with a DCC central station:
The operation modes of the light bar and the central station
are not the same. The DCC central station is in 14/27 speed
step mode, yet the decoder makes use of the 28 speed step
mode.
Light is not switchable in Motorola® operation mode:
The light bar only 'understands' the Motorola®-II digital
encoding. Set up your central station so that it sends this
format.
When adjusting the brightness with the potentiometer the LEDs
flicker:
Increase the brightness by turning the potentiometer or attach
a buffer capacitor as flickering prevention.
The "old Arnold central station" does not read the Primary Address
(CV#1):
You can set the Primary Address (CV#1) in either case. Yet for
