Protect yourself against live current-carrying com-
ponents

nents near your work.
Field of application
This tool is intended for use only as described in the
operating instructions. The manufacturer is excluded
from liability for damages that result from unauthorized
alterations or improper use of the crimping tool.
WARNING
This tool does not deliver compliant results
for every cable or connector available
on the market. Because of the variety of
tolerances permitted in different stand-
ards, there is no guarantee of compliance
even when the cable, connector and each
crimping element in use are in compliance
with the appropriate standards. Thus,
this tool should only be used after first
testing it with the components that are
to be processed. The tool must then be
adjusted accordingly. If proper testing is
not carried out, then the possibility exists
for occasional malfunctioning contacts, in-
creased conductor resistance or improper
tensile strength. These can compromise
the safety of the entire product. It can also
lead to significant personal harm or prop-
erty damage. If it is not possible for you to
conduct the proper tests, contact your sup-
plier to arrange for the correct adjustment
and testing.
NOTE
For your own safety, never use accesso-
ries or auxiliary devices that have not been
recommended in the operating instructions
or by the manufacturer. Always follow the
appropriate protective procedures and
observe the relevant accident protection
guidelines.
