Bio-Reiniger
Initial Operation
After removing the packaging, check the unit casing and
operating components for any possible damage caused in
transit.
Place the device horizontally and secure from falling over.
Lift the right half of table 2 and support it using the attached rod.
Filling
The bio.x cleaning fluid is available as a ready-mix or in
concentrated form.
Pour 100 l of the ready-to-use cleaning solution consisting of 5
cans of each 20 l or 20 l of the concentrate consisting of 4 cans
of each 5 l and additional 80 l of water into the tank.
Fill tank with the ready-to-use liquid, 100 l comprised of 5
canisters each of 20 l or 4 canisters of concentrate, each with 5l
and additional 70 l water.
Electrical connection
The unit is connected to the customer's mains supply via the
power cable and plug.
Mains voltage: The voltage of the power source has to comply
with the details on the identification place of the appliance
Warning: The mains supply must be fitted with a residual
current protective device in accordance with DIN VDE
(Association of German Electricians) 0100! (See section 2)
The heater and the aerator switch on automatically. The
warming-up process can take up to 2.5 hours, depending on the
initial temperature. The operating temperature is set at 41º C in
the factory and cannot be changed. The parts cleaner is ready
to be used after reaching the nominal temperature.
Operation
Place the parts to be cleaned in the cleaning basin in the bio.x
Parts Cleaning Unit.
The maximum permissible load capacity (see Technical Data
chapter) must not be exceeded!
Maintenance
To prevent faults in function and to increase operational safety,
the device must be regularly cleaned and maintained.
Fill level
Regularly check the fill level at the markings on the container
wall. Fill the tank up to the top line with cleaning agent.
The pump and the heater switch off after reaching the minimum
fill level.

Clean filter
Sieve
Remove the sieve 6 and 7 and clean it daily.
Switch on the water pump by pressing the multi-control button
on the controls. The water pump automatically switches off after
about 60 minutes. The water pump can also be switched on
and off by pressing the multi-control button on the control panel.
Energy-saving mode
During standstill times such as, e.g. at night, the device can
be switched into energy-saving mode for a set period of time.
The temperature is maintained at 30º C in energy-saving
mode. The micro-organisms remain active at this temperature
and optimum oil and grease degradation is guaranteed.
In the display, „30" appears to indicate energy-saving mode,
alternating with the remaining time of the mode.
Setting the time for energy-saving mode:
Press the multi-function button for >3 sec; the last set value
of the 2-digit number appears in the display and the first digit
flashes. After pressing the button for a short time, the flashing
digit can be increased. The value is accepted by pressing
permanently for >2 sec and the digit to the right now flashes.
The 1st hour is set in the same way. If no entry is made within
10 seconds then the displayed value is accepted. After
permanently pressing for > 2sec, the set value is displayed
alternately with „30" for energy-saving mode.
The time window is not used when setting "00".
Energy-saving mode is ended by pressing the multi-function
switch, even if the time window is still active.
The wash pump is switched on/off by pressing the ON-OFF
switch.
Note: When interrupting work, switch off the water pump only
and do not disconnect the unit from the mains, so the detergent
remains warm. The micro-organisms in the detergent require
heat and oxygen to degrade the oil and grease. For this
reason, the heating system maintains the temperature of the
detergent at 41º C and an aerator ensures oxygen is
permanently fed to the micro-organisms. If the unit is switched
off, or it breaks down for a long period of time, the micro-
organisms become inactive.
Filter
Turn the housing of the filter unit 8 anticlockwise and remove it.
Pull out the filter cartridge. Clean or replace the filter cartridge.
Re-insert the filter cartridge and screw on the housing
(handtight).
Only clean the filter and sieve with clean water!
Replace cleaning fluid
Allow the cleaning agent to cool down before replacing it and
wear protective gloves!
Have a suitable container on hand and empty the tank by
opening the drain tap 17.
Observe the instructions and regulations on disposal of
cleaning fluids and alkalis! Close the drain tap 17 and refill
the device
