Cleaning and maintenance
In order for you to enjoy the outstanding performance of you gas radiant heater, please ensure to carry out the following
maintenance services regularly.
Ÿ Keep the outer surfaces clean.
F For cleaning, use warm soapy water. Never use flammable or corrosive cleaning agents.
F AWhen cleaning your gas heater, ensure that the areas around the burner and the ignition flame assembly unit are
always dry. Should the gas control become wet, do NOT use. It must be exchanged.
Ÿ After prolonged inactivity, check the gas heater for spiders, spider webs and other insects.
Ÿ The airflow must never be obstructed. Keep the user panels, burner and air circulation channels clean. Signs of possible
blockage are:
F Gas smell with extremely yellow flame tips.
F The gas heater does NOT reach desired temperature.
F The gas heater glows very unevenly.
F The gas heater causes popping noises.
Ÿ Spiders or insects may be situated in the burner or in the openings. This dangerous condition can cause damages and
unsafe gas heater operations. Clean the burner openings with pressurised air.
Ÿ Carbon deposits pose a fire hazard. Clean the reflector and the glass pipe with soapy water if carbon deposits exist. Always
apply great care when cleaning the glass pipe.
Storage
Ensure the following during storing between operating phases:
Ÿ
Turn the variable control button to OFF position.
Ÿ Turn liquid gas bottle to OFF position.
Ÿ Store gas heater in upright position and in an area protected against atmospheric influences (such as rain, sleet, hail, snow).
Ÿ Ensure that gas heater is stored away from children.
Ÿ If desired, you can cover the gas heater for protective purposes and to avoid dust and dirt accumulations in the air
channels. Wait however until the gas heater has fully cooled.
Ensure the following when storing during longer inactive periods:
Ÿ Turn control to OFF position.
Ÿ Separate liquid gas bottle from gas heater and take to safe and ventilated location. Do NOT store gas bottle at a location
with ambient temperatures above 50ºC.
Ÿ Store gas heater in upright position and in an area protected against atmospheric influences (such as rain, sleet, hail, snow).
Ÿ Ensure that gas heater is stored away from children.
Ÿ If desired, you can cover the gas heater for protective purposes and to avoid dust and dirt accumulations in the air
channels. Wait however until the gas heater has fully cooled.

Note:
In environments with salty air (e.g. near sea), corrosion occurs quicker than usual. Frequently check the corroded areas and
promptly repair.
