where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
The appliance may have a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
modify the plug in anyway.
Krups reserves the right to modify the characteristics or components at any time in
the interests of the consumer.

Remove all packaging and accessories both inside and outside the kettle.
Adjust the length of the power cord by coiling the excess under the base. The powercord should extend
from the base through the slot in the back. (fig. 1)
Rinse the inside of the kettle and the limescale filter (located in the spout) several times. Boil 2 or 3
kettles of water and discard to remove all manufacturing residues and dust.
Wipe the outside of the kettle and the base with a clean damp cloth. To avoid damage to the electronics,
avoid exposing the base of the kettle or the bottom of the kettle to excess water.

4. USING YOUR KETTLE

1- Place the kettle base on a stable, clean surface away from heat sources. Connect the plug into an
outlet.
Note: The kettle (a), kettle base (b), and limescale filter (e) are specifically designed to be used together
and other accessories not designed for use with the kettle should not be used.
2- Open the lid by pressing the lid release button (f) on the handle (g) (fig. 2). Fill the kettle with the
desired amount of water (fig. 3).
Close the lid (c) by pushing the lid plastic cover (d).
CAUTION: The lid can be hot. Do not touch the stainless steel part of the lid. Always
push the lid plastic cover (d) to close the lid.
