Using the Breast Pump

To maximize your pumping results,
stimulate your let-down reflex by:
• Relaxing and thinking about your baby;
• Gently massaging your breasts, starting
nearest your ribs and working down
toward the nipple;
• Applying warm, moist compresses.
Continue until you can hand-express
a few drops of milk.
Now you should be ready to use your
pump.
