Before Using Your Breast Pump
To Sanitize Parts on the Stove:
Place disassembled pump parts (except pump unit, AC adapter, tubing,
tubing adapter, and diaphragm cap) in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes.
Stir frequently. DO NOT allow parts to rest on bottom of pan as they may
melt or become damaged.
To Sanitize Parts in the Microwave:
This pump may be used with a microwave sanitation device (except pump
unit, AC adapter, tubing, tubing adapter, and diaphragm cap). Please follow
device manufacturer's instructions.

After Every Use
• Wipe the pump unit with a clean, damp cloth.
• Rinse the flange assembly (all parts EXCEPT the pump unit, tubing,
tubing adapter, diaphragm cap, and AC adapter) in cool water to remove
milk residue.
• Hand wash with warm, soapy water.
• Rinse thoroughly and air dry before assembly. You may also wash your
flange assembly (after rinsing) on the top rack of your dishwasher.
• Use care when handling the valve/membrane assembly during cleaning to
avoid damage. Before each use, visually inspect the individual components
for cracks, chips, tears, discoloration or deterioration. In the event that
damage to the device is observed, please discontinue use until the parts
have been replaced.
• Inspect the tubing for condensation or milk after each use. If condensation
is observed in the tubing, contact Evenflo for replacement parts.
WARNING
NEVER immerse pump unit or
AC adapter in water or attempt
to sanitize in a microwave oven.
Damage to parts and oven may
occur. Do not boil or wash tubing
or tubing adapter.

Assembling the Flange

Attach the membrane
to the valve
Note: Make sure the membrane is attached
and is lying flat against the valve, or the
pump will lose suction and will not work
properly. Also, make sure the membrane is
not torn, as this too will cause decreased
suction and the pump not to work properly.
