A1.7 Specification for water to be treated
PuliFIL has been designed and created for the treatment of drinking water.

PuliFIL cannot be used to filter water containing any kind of chemicals (for example acids, bases, solvents,
detergents, antifreeze, glycols etc.).
A2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
A2.1 Periodic maintenance
Perform periodically the following checks:

Filter cleaning
Every 3-4 days and anyhow when the hydraulic pressure at users disposal is reduced (clogging of the filter
elements) rotate clockwise the upper green knob. If necessary repeat the operation. Put the filter back in the
filtrating position (verify that the bottom discharge is closed).
During the cleaning operation the filter discharges some water. The discharge connection must be canalized
in a drain. In order to clean the external part of the filter (knob, brass body and bowl) use a humid soft rug.
Do not use any kind of detergents and solvents.
Warning! In order to obtain an effective cleaning of the filter a minimum water pressure of 2 bar is
required. If necessary, during the filter cleaning operation, the shut off valve positioned downstream
of the filter should be closed.
A2.2 Inactivity
After long inactivity periods it is advisable to carry out the filter cleaning operation repeatedly (2/3 times)
keeping the filter in discharge position for 30 seconds in order to allow an adequate flushing of the filter. In
case the hydraulic distribution system was subjected to a cleaning and sanitization it would be necessary to
include PuliFIL in the intervention as well. The sanitization is part of the extraordinary maintenance and it
must be performed by qualified personnel only.
