Advantages of the infrared ear thermometer
•
Free of protective cover: It is not necessary to use a protective cover for
temperature measurement which makes the thermometer user-friendlier and
more cost-effective.
•
Quick measurement: the innovative infrared technology allows for ear tempe-
rature measurement within only 1 second.
•
Precise and reliable: The unique construction of the measuring probe and of
the infrared sensor and the calibration methods facilitate very precise and
reliable ear temperature measurements with this unit.
•
Simple and convenient use: Due to its ergonomic special design, the thermo-
meter can be used in a simple and convenient manner.
Measurements can be performed even if the child is asleep. This thermome-
ter turns out to be especially convenient for use with children as it is more
comfortable than the rectal or oral measurement.
•
Measured value memory: The unit is very user-friendly and automatically
shows the value of the last measurement when it is activated.
•
Display of multiple measured values: The user can call up the last
12 measured values stored so that they are able to better keep track of the
temperature fluctuations.

Operating the unit
•
Safe and hygienic
-
No risk for breakage of glass or mercury ingestion.
-
Absolutely safe use with children.
-
Clean the measuring probe with one of the cleaning pads attached or with
a paper tissue slightly soaked in alcohol which makes the thermometer
100% hygienic.
•
Fever alarm: 10 short acoustic signals indicate that the temperature of the
patient is more than 37.5°C.
•
The thermometer may not be used with a protective cover to determine the
body temperature because this would falsify the measurement results!
2.
Fever classification
•
37.5°C to 38.0°C elevated temperature
•
38.0°C to 39.0°C moderate fever
•
as of 39.0°C high fever
