This topic provides some general safety information for electrical
hazards.

Safety Symbol
The instrument is designed with safety features, including interlocks
and covers, to minimize the possibility of injury due to electric shock. It
is important that you do not defeat interlock mechanisms and that you
obey all warnings and cautions placed on the instrument. Never remove
the panels for service procedures before shutting the instrument down
and disconnecting the power cord. Only trained and qualified service
personnel may service the instrument.
Electrical Safety
The instrument is designed to protect the operator from potential
electrical hazards. This topic describes recommended electrical safety
practices.
WARNING! Use the instrument only in the manner specified by
the manufacturer. Not doing so can impair the integral
protection provided by the instrument.
Electric Shock Hazard
Under normal operating conditions, with the cover and interlocks in
place, the instrument does not present an electric shock hazard.
WARNING! Do not attempt to override the interlock system.
Only trained and qualified service personnel should operate the
instrument with the cover open or panels removed. High
voltages exist in some parts inside the instrument enclosure.
