Our products are designed to meet the highest standards of quality, functionality and
design. We hope you enjoy your new PALSON PICNIC grill.
When using this or other electrical appliances, always follow these basic safety
precautions:
READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE.
WARNING: In order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or serious injuries:
-
Unless supervised by an adult, children or other persons whose physical, sensory
or mental condition prevents them from using the appliance safely are not permitted
to use this product. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with
said product.

Always keep children under strict supervision to ensure they do not play with the
appliance.
-
Always use the product on a flat, level and heat resistant surface.
-
The appliance should only be used with both plates securely in place.
-
Accessible surfaces can reach very high temperatures while the appliance is
operating. Make sure you do not touch these hot surfaces.
-
Use the product in a well ventilated area. Leave at least a space of between 10 and
15 cm around the product to allow for sufficient air circulation.
-
Do not place the product on or near an electric or gas burner, or inside or on a hot
oven or other source of heat.
-
Do not allow the product to come into contact with curtains, wall paper, clothes,
kitchen cloths or other flammable materials while the appliance is in use.
-
Do not move the product while it is plugged in. Allow the product to completely cool
down before handling.
-
Do not cover the drip tray with aluminium foil or any other material.
-
Do not use accessories whose use is not recommended on this product or which
have not been acquired from the manufacturer of the appliance.
-
Do not use the product near water or other liquids.
-
Do not place the product in or allow to fall in water or other liquids. If the product falls
in water, disconnect immediately from the mains supply. Do not touch the water.
-
Do not leave the product unattended during use. The appliance is not designed for
use with an external timer or with a remote control system.
-
Do not put pressure on the power cord at the point where it connects to the product
as the cord could fray and break.
-
Do not plug the product into a socket or unplug from a mains supply with wet
hands.
-
Keep the product and the power cord away from hot surfaces.
-
Never use the product if the power cord or the plug are damaged or if the product
does not operate properly: if it is has fallen, is damaged or if it has come into contact
with water or any other liquids.
-
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, by an
authorised service agent or by a qualified technician, in order to prevent hazards.
CAUTION: In order to reduce the risk of injury or damage:

This product is designed for indoor household use and not for industrial or commercial
use such as in a sandwich bar and grill. Do not use the appliance outdoors or for
any other purpose other than household use.

Do not allow the power cord to hang in such a way that a person may trip over it
or get caught and accidentally pull on it (e.g. from the edge of a table or a work
surface).

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

-
In order to avoid a short circuit when using this product, do not use another high
voltage product in the same electrical circuit.
-
This product is equipped with a short power cord. It is not advisable to use an
extension cord with this product, but an extension cord should be used when you
make sure:
a) The nominal electrical values of the power cord should have the correct measurable
resistance and must be at least equal to those of the product. Always keep the cord
extended, never coiled up.
b) The extension cord is not left hanging in such a way that someone could accidently
trip over it or accidently pull on it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Never select the maximum temperature of the appliance when
empty; it could overheat.
FEATURES

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Once the appliance has been correctly assembled and you are ready to start cooking,
switch the temperature selector button in a clockwise direction to select the desired
temperature. On plugging the unit into the mains supply, the thermostat should be
positioned to 0º; the ON light will come on (red), and then the green READY light will
come on. On adjusting the temperature with the thermostat, the green ON light will
switch off, until it reaches the selected temperature.
Depending on the temperature selected, the plate can take a maximum of 8 minutes
to reach the programmed temperature. Once the thermostat has reached the
programmed temperature, a green light on the temperature control switch selected
will light up indicating that the appliance is ready to use. While operating the light
will continue to go on as the thermostat regulates the temperature. This is absolutely
normal in this product.
The temperature controls are used to regulate and maintain the temperature of the
cooking surface. The position of the temperature selector button may vary at any time
during cooking, as this depends on the type of food on the grilling plates.
