Use of indicator markers

Once the inserts are installed, use the magnetic
markers to quickly identify the position of each
single inserto.
1. Align the positioning number of the optical insert
installed in the condenser ② with the reference
number ① on the cover (Fig. 7) and then apply
the magnetic marker.
When one of the eight available capacitor posi-
tions is inserted, a dot "¡" appears inside the cor-
responding window on the condenser cover. This
indicates that the optical insert installed in that
position is currently present in the optical path.

Installing the condenser

Refer to the instruction manual of the microscope.
1. Raise the stage with the coarse focusing knob,
avoiding contact with the objectives.
2. Lower the condenser holder using the condenser
height adjustment knob.
3. If necessary, lower the top lens.
4. Loosen the condenser locking screw ③. (Fig. 8)
5. Insert the condenser into the condenser holder
and place the alignment pin in the groove on the
back of the condenser holder.
6. Tighten the condenser fixing screw.

Centering the condenser

Refer to the instruction manual of the microscope.
1. Place the specimen on the stage, insert 10x
objective into the light path and focus.
2. Insert the front lens of the swing-out condenser

3. Rotate
the
field
counterclockwise direction, to fully close the
diaphragm.
4. Rotate the condenser height adjustment knob ③
to focus the edges of the diaphragm.
5. Rotate the two centering screws ④ to bring the
bright spot in the center of the field of view.
6. Gradually open the diaphragm. The condenser
is centered when the diaphragm image is
symmetrical to the field of view.(Fig. 10)
7. In normal use, open the diaphragm until it
circoscribes the field of view.
