D. Functions with external switch
In combination with an actor, allowing for an external switch, connected on E1, the switch will have following
function:
• switch OFF: normal operation
• switch ON: night temperature level active (hand symbol visible)
Attention: for as long as the switch is at ON, the night temperature will remain active! In this mode the ther-
mostat can only be programmed or reset.
7. CAuTION DuRING OpERATION
• In case of troubles, use the RESET button. The program remains in memory.
• After ±10min, a stable temperature is displayed. This phenomenon is perfectly normal, it doesn' t indicate a
defect.
• The clock thermostat cannot not be used to directly control a liquid fuel burner. The clock thermostat is used
to activate the circulation pump for the central heating.
• Many factors could influence a temperature measurement. In order to guarantee a correct temperature
measurement, the following must be taken into account:
- Do not place the thermostat on a wall that is in direct contact with the outside air.
- Do not place the thermostat in the immediate vicinity of a heating source (stove, heating,...) or an electrical
device that radiates heat (TV, computer, ...).
- Do not place the thermostat in direct sunlight or artificial light.
- Do not place the thermostat behind a curtain or drapery.
- Avoid air circulation in the pipes of the heating installation. Fill possible holes with PU-foam.

8. TROuBlESHOOTING
The 'flame' symbol is shown on the display, even if the temperature in the room has already been reached. The
thermostat is provided with a digital control and anticipates temperature fluctuations. As the pump needs some
time to heat the room, the thermostat controls the pump in advance and remains active for some time after
the set temperature has been reached. This enables to have a steady temperature, which results in maximum
return and minimum consumption.
