Useful information / Technical data
GB
• The lasercircle shows the measuring area from which the
ultrasonic signal is being reflected (see next page Fig. A,
C). No objects (Fig. D) may project into this area.
• The device has an energy-saving function and switches
off automatically (see Section 1).
• Ultrasound is not able to penetrate through glass (e.g.
window panes).
• When measuring, the device compensates for different
room temperatures. Therefore please allow for a short
adjustment time when changing between locations with
large temperature differences.
• Carpets, upholstery or curtains do not optimally reflect
ultrasound. Therefore in such cases please use smooth
surfaces as aids, such as shelves, mirrors etc.
• Sound reflections may falsify the measurement results.
Therefore, to ensure a reliable result, please perform
several measurements from different positions, especially
when measuring through door or window apertures (see
Fig. E).
• Fluctuations in air pressure or humidity can cause measu-
rement deviations, and wind noises and other sources of
sound can also falsify the results.
• IMPORTANT. When measuring over larger distances, i.e.
between 12 m and 18 m, the relative humidity should be
>50% and the target have a size of at least 3 m x 3 m
(see Fig. F).
• Clean with a soft cloth. Water must not be allowed to
enter the housing.
