1 GENERAL INFORMATION

A) Information provided by the manufacturer
(as follows) must be read and thoroughly
understood before using this product.

of the features, performance, assembly,
disassembly, maintenance, care, cleaning,
etc. of the product. Any representations of
use must not be considered as instruction
for actual use (in the same way the user's
manual for a car is not intended as driving
instruction nor a substitute for driving
school).

Climbing on rock and ice, abseiling,
via ferrata, caving, ski mountaineering,
canyoning, orienteering, rescue, arborism
and work at height are all high-risk activities
which can lead to serious injury or even
death. If you are not willing to assume
responsibility for all the risks involved, do not
use this product and abstain from practicing
these activities. You are responsible for
your own actions and the consequences to
yourself and others. You assume complete
responsibility for harm, injury and/or death
arising from your use of our products,

B) Before and after use, carry out all inspections
described in the specific information for each
product. In particular, ensure that the product is:

- in optimal condition and functioning correctly,
- fit for the intended use. It is the responsibility
of the operator to employ the correct use
of this product: only the techniques shown
without crosses and/or "NO!" in the diagrams
are permitted. Every other use is prohibited:

C) If you have any doubt as to the safety and
working condition of the product, retire and
replace it immediately. Do not use a product
after it has been dropped. Internal damage or
deformation may not be visible and you cannot
completely determine the product's resistance
to damage. Incorrect
deformation, accidental dropping from height,
exposure to chemical contamination, exposure
to heat and beyond normal weather conditions
(purely metallic products: -30°/+100°C –
products with textile components: -30°/+50°C)
are some examples of other causes which
can reduce, limit and even terminate the
lifespan of the product. These examples are
not exhaustive. Your life depends on the
continued function of your equipment. It is
strongly advised that you know the history of
the equipment you use (its prior use, storage,
inspections, etc.).
(D) This product can be used in combination
with personal protective equipment (PPE), in
accordance with Directive 89 /686/CEE, when
compatible with the product, as described in
the specific product information. When you
intend to combine two (or more) products,
please carefully read the information for use
of both.
E) Anchor position is vital to the safety of fall
arrest systems: carefully evaluate the free
space beneath the user, the height of a potential
fall, the elongation of the rope caused by the
presence of an energy absorber, the height of
the user, and the "pendulum" effect, in order to
avoid any possible obstacle (e.g. the ground,
material abrasion, etc.).
