3.2 Operation

Risk of damage and injury from uncontrolled
movement of the machine!
Before switching on, the machine has to be held
firmly by the handle of the guide bar.
High‐voltage electrical current can be fatal! Do
not run over, crush, or pull on the power cable!
The direction of work always has to be away
from the socket / extractor unit.
The operating personnel responsible for the
machine must ensure that no‐one can enter the
machine's danger zone during operation!
1.
Only with water tank:
If necessary, for wet grinding, press the lever
[8, Fig. A/E] (water supply) according to the re
quired amount of water (empirical value).
2.
Fig. A/B:
The operator should sling the safety line [2]
around their wrist so that if the operator goes
away from the guide handle, it is assured that
the safety peg [20] will be separated reliably
from the safety switch [21].
3.
Insert the safety peg [20] in the safety switch.
4.
Use both hands to hold and guide the machine
by the guide handle [1, Fig. A].
Be sure you have a secure footing when you
switch on the machine! The machine develops a
sideways torque when it is switched on.
The surface to be ground can now be machined.
5.
Press the green button
6.
The drive is switched on.
Only with speed control:
The drive accelerates to the speed set at
the speed regulator [17, Fig. B].
If necessary, use the speed regulator to
adjust the speed for the grinding condi
tions.
Suitable tools are available for various grinding
tasks. Please contact Schwamborn service if
necessary.

3.3 Switching the machine off

Risk of injury
From tool holder disc still rotating after the ma
chine is switched off!
Only switch off the machine with the tools rest
ing on the floor!
Otherwise, the tool holder disc can still rotate
idly (run‐on) for several seconds after being
switched off, or the guide handle being released.
Press the red button
The machine is off
Risk of injury from high voltage!
There is still residual voltage even after the ma
chine has been switched off! In order to switch
the machine free of voltage, the power plug
[4, Fig. A] has to be disconnected from the
mains!
4 Maintenance
Observe the safety instructions in Chapter 2!
The operating and maintenance personnel
responsible for the machine must ensure that no
one can enter the machine's danger zone during
operation or maintenance work!
Maintenance work may only be performed by
trained specialists! They must be familiar with
the dangers associated with such work, protect
themselves and avoid danger!
When working on the machine (set‐up,
maintenance, service, repair, cleaning, etc.), the
power supply of the machine has to be
disconnected from the mains
(Disconnect power plug)!
Perform cleaning and maintenance work in ac
cordance with the operating manual and check
the safety equipment for completeness and
functionality!
Risk of damage due to unsuitable tools!
The manufacturer strongly recommends using
only the certified tools offered by Schwamborn.

In case of customer service queries, replacement
parts or repairs, please contact the manufacturer. To
ensure your queries are dealt with as quickly as pos
