3.5.2. ATTACHING YOUR SONAR FOIL TO YOUR NORTH FOILBOARD USING THE FIXED
4-POINT MOUNTING SYSTEM

Lay your foilboard upside down on a stable surface free from rocks or stones.
Ensure all surfaces are free from dirt or sand prior to assembly. Pay close attention to the

Board Adaptor/CF Carbon Mast Top on the foil.
Use the screw pack provided with your board.

Turn the foil over and position above the four mounting points on the foilboard. The arrow
on the Board Adaptor/CF Carbon Mast should be pointing towards the nose of the board.
Align all four Board Adaptor/CF Carbon Mast top holes with the four inserts on the board.
Insert screws and hand-tighten initially.

Use the Torx T40 to firmly tighten the screws individually in a diagonal sequence until the
foil is fully secured.
3.5.3. ATTACHING YOUR SONAR FOIL TO A NON-NORTH FOILBOARD
Please refer to the other manufacturer's foilboard user manual for instructions.

Use of a Sonar Foil with a non-North foilboard is at the user's own risk. North does not accept any
responsibility.
WARNING:
Ensure you're using the correct length screws for your foilboard. The screw lengths have been
carefully selected to achieve at minimum, 8mm of engagement with the thread without exceeding
the maximum depth of the insert. This applies to both DropBox track mounting and 4-point mounting
systems.
3.6. RIDER WEIGHT POSITIONING GUIDE
When the rider's body weight is between 75kg and 85kg, align the Board Adaptor 0 mark up with
the 0 mark on board scale. For riders under 75kg slide the foil further back, towards the tail of the
board. For riders over 85kg slide the foil forward of the 0 mark towards the nose of the board.
