Battery
Bellman Visit Flash Receiver has a built-in, rechargeable (NiMH) back-up battery which is automatically activated
when the Flash is no longer powered through the mains adapter (the mains indicator (4) fl ashes green). This battery
lasts up to a week during normal usage, which also allows for the Flash Receiver to be, for example, brought from
one room to another or even outdoors. It is, however, recommended that the Flash Receiver remains connected to the
mains adapter during normal usage. Let the Flash Receiver be connected for a minimum of 24 hours fi rst time of
usage to allow for the back-up battery to be fully charged. This will normally take approximately 16 hours to fully
charge an empty battery. When the battery needs to be recharged, the battery indicator (4) will start to fl ash red. If
the battery needs to be replaced, please contact your distributor.
Battery/Mains indicator (4)
Below the lens there is an LED which indicates both the power and battery status. When the LED shines with a
constant green light the unit is connected to the mains adapter and the battery is being charged.
When the LED fl ashes green, the unit is powered by the back-up battery.
When the LED fl ashes red the back-up battery is running low and you should recharge it by connecting the unit
to the mains adapter.
Test button (5)
The test button (5) is located on the back of the Bellman Visit Flash Receiver. By pressing the test button, you
can check that the unit is working. Keep in mind to not look straight at the unit since the emitted fl ash may be
discomfortable to your eyes at such a short distance. If the Bellman Visit Bed-shaker (accessory) is connected, it
too will signal but with vibrations.
The test button is also used for setting the radio channel - see section "Radio channel" or to cancel the fl ashes as
well as the vibrations from the Bed-shaker (accessory) by pressing it shortly when the Flash signals.. For safety
reasons the signaling can not be cancelled when there is a fi re alarm.
Telephone outlet (8)
There is a modular connector on the back of the Flash Receiver which offers a direct connection to the telephone
line. This allows the Flash to signal when the phone rings without using the Bellman Visit Telephone transmit-
ter. Order the telephone connection cord from your distributor.
