CLEANING AND STORING YOUR SCARIFIER
Work that has not been described in these Instructions must be carried out
by a servicing agency authorized by us. Only use original parts.
Wear gloves when handling the cylinder.
Prior to all maintenance and cleaning work always switch off the machine,
disconnect the plug from the power socket and wait until the cylinder has stopped rotating.
Do not jet water onto the appliance and do not clean it under flowing water.
This would result in danger of an electric shock and the scarifier could be
damaged.
When work has finished remove plant residues adhering to the wheels, inside the
ventilation opening, the grass ejector opening and the cylinder. Do not use hard
or pointed objects for this purpose as they could damage the machine.
• Completely empty the collecting basket.
• Always keep the machine clean. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.
Storage
• Store the machine in a dry place well out of reach of children.
• Allow the motor to cool down before placing the machine in a closed room.
• Do not store appliance in a closed bag as this can contribute to the
development of mildew.
Loosen the wing nuts so that the bar can be folded up for space-saving storage.
Ensure that the cables are not squeezed.
MAINTENANCE
We cannot be held liable for damage caused by our appliance if they were
improperly repaired, if non-original parts have been used or if they were used not
in keeping with their intended purpose.
Keep the scarifier clean using a soft damp (not wet) cloth. Do not use solvents on
the plastic parts.
Lubrication is not necessary.
An authorized repair centre should do any repairs, modifications, or maintenance
that involves disassembling the scarifier more than it was when in the package.
Any damage should be corrected at an authorized repair centre.
WARRANTY
Thank you for investing in a HAUSSMANN tool. These products have been made to
demanding, high-quality standards and are guaranteed for domestic use against
manufacturing faults for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase.
This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. In case of any malfunction of your tool
(failure, missing part, etc.), please contact one of our service technicians at our toll free

RONA reserves the right to repair or replace the defective tool, at its discretion.
Normal wear and tear, including accessory wear, is not covered under guarantee. The
product is guaranteed for 36 months if used for normal trade purposes. Any guarantee is
invalid if the product has been overloaded or subject to neglect, improper use or an
attempted repair other than by an authorized agent. Heavy-duty, daily professional or hire
usage are not guaranteed. Due to continuous product improvement, we reserve the right
to change the product specification without prior notice.
