OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Setting the working positions

The machine has 5 principal position settings:
Setting 0 : Transport position
This position sets the maximum safety spacing between the tool and the floor.
Setting 1 : Working position
Set this position when working with a new appliance.
Settings 2 - 4 : Readjustment positions
The working position can be lowered with increased knife depth. The readjusting
depth amounts to approx. 3 mm per setting. Use the millimeter scale readings for
fine setting.
At time of delivery, the scarifier is in the 0 / Transport position.
The scarifier must be switched off to set the working position. Press the setting
button (see FIG A No. 13) down and turn it to the required position until it locks in
place (the button immediately rises again).
The setting button is not intended for height adjustment but rather to
compensate for wear. Selection of a readjustment position without the
corresponding wear can overload the motor and damage the cylinder.
