1.
Connect the Accu-Cycle's AC connector to an AC wall socket.
2.
Turn the power switch to the "ON" position.
3.
Select charge leads that match your transmitter and receiver batteries.
4.
Select the charge rates at which you would like to charge your NiCd or NiMH batteries (refer to recommended settings
in table below. For receiver packs, choose either the 25, 50 or 125mA rate with the RECEIVER CHARGE RATE switch.
For transmitter packs, choose either the 50 or 125mA rate with the TRANSMITTER CHARGE RATE switch.
Charge Rate(mA) x Charge Time(hours) = Input Energy(mAh)
Example: 125(mA) x 7.25(hours) = 906(mAh)
Battery's Rated Capacity
200-375mAh
375-750mAh
750-1875mAh
We highly recommend following the charge rate table provided! Undercharging can cause battery voltage to quickly drop
to an unsafe level during use.
5.
Connect your batteries to the Accu-Cycle as described in steps 7 and 10 of "Discharging Batteries."
6.
If each battery is properly connected, its corresponding green LED will flash, indicating the batteries are in trickle charge
mode.
7.
Press the RX CHARGE button. The corresponding green LED will illuminate constantly during constant charge mode.
8.
Press the TX CHARGE button. The corresponding green LED will illuminate constantly during constant charge mode.
9.
When each battery's 15-hour time limit is reached, the Accu-Cycle will independently switch each one over to the trickle
charge mode, indicated by the flashing green LED. You may leave batteries in the trickle charge mode indefinitely.
WARNING! If a battery becomes hot during charge, a problem may exist with the battery or the Accu-Cycle.
Disconnect batteries immediately and refer to the Troubleshooting Guide.
10. It is always a good idea to check your battery's total voltage after charging and before use to confirm that a charge was
accepted.

Troubleshooting Guide

Problem: Display does not function when Accu-Cycle is connected to AC source.
Cause: Power switch is in the off position.
Solution: Turn on the power switch.
Problem: Charge LED does not flash when batteries are connected, or illuminate when charge command is given.
Cause: 1) Battery connected backwards. 2) Faulty connection or wiring. 3) Defective cell in the pack.

Problem: Does not automatically terminate constant charge after 15 hours.
Cause: Internal problem with Accu-Cycle.
Solution: Disconnect battery and contact Hobby Services for further details.
Problem: Battery voltage low after 15 hour charge (below 1.2V per cell).
Cause: 1) Charge rate setting too low. 2) Battery connected in reverse. 3) Defective battery.
Solution: 1) See "Charging Batteries." 2) Connect battery leads properly. 3) Replace battery.
Problem: Will not lock into discharge mode.
Cause: 1) Battery connected in reverse. 2) Cell selector in wrong position. 3) TX has diode in charge circuit. 4) Battery
discharged below cut-off. 5) Defective cell in pack.
Solution: 1) Connect battery leads properly. 2) Adjust cell selector to match the number of cells in the pack. 3) Remove
battery and connect directly to Accu-Cycle. 3) Contact your radio manufacturer for details. 4) Charge the battery. 5) Replace
