there are runs in your pattern, move
the sprayer further away from the
surface. You can also turn the pres-
sure down, but be careful not to
turn it down so far that the paint is
no longer being atomized.
3. When spraying, hold spray gun par-
allel to the painting surface (see
Figure 5).

4. Begin stroke from left to right.
5. Depress trigger only when your arm
is in motion. This will reduce paint
buildup at the start and/or stop
points of your painting stroke.
6. After working your way from top to
bottom of the project horizontally,
cross hatch by covering the surface
in a top to bottom stroke.
7. When working on a horizontal sur-
face, direct the spray gun so that
paint sprays at an angle of approxi-
mately 45 degrees.
8. If you restart after a resting period,
spray paint onto a practice surface
before spraying on intended paint-
ing surface.
ONE GALLON SUCTION KIT
NOTE: This kit is included only with
certain models. See Item 5 picture on
page 10 for kit contents.
1. Remove the cup from gun assembly
by unscrewing it from the cup lid
(see Figure 6).

2. With a gentle twisting, pulling
motion, remove the suction tube
that is attached to the "SUCTION"
boss on the underside of the cup
gun lid. Set the suction tube aside.
3. Take the 5 ft. bypass/suction hose
and peel the ends of the hose apart
approximately 1/2" at each end.
4. Compress a hose clamp and insert
one each onto each end of the
bypass (unmarked) hose, positioning
them near each end of the tube.
5. Place the cup gun assembly upside
down on a flat surface and push the
bypass hose onto the boss marked
"BYPASS" on the cup gun lid, secur-
ing it with the hose clamp. Push the
suction hose onto the boss marked
"SUCTION" on the cup gun lid. Lay
this assembly aside.
6. Hold the one gallon lid with the em-
bossed "CH" logo facing toward you.
