- Choose the location in such a way that children cannot reach the blade of
the unit or the supply lines.
- Never use the appliance outdoors, and always keep it in a dry place.
- The unit is not designed for installation in a wall or a built-in cupboard.
- Do not set up the unit in a hot, wet or moist environment.
- The socket has to be easily accessible so that the power cable can be remo-
ved easily in case of emergency.

Unpacking the unit

When unpacking the unit, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the unit from the box.
2. Remove the packaging parts.
3. Remove any stickers on the unit (do not remove the type plate).

Prior to first use

Danger of injury!
The very sharp blade can cause injuries. This might separate body parts. Your
fingers and thumbs especially are at risk.
Proceed with utmost care when cleaning the blade.

Basic cleaning

Prior to first use, clean the unit and all accessory parts as described in "Cleaning
and maintenance".

Initial operation and use

Do not operate the machine for more than 1 minute at a time. Then allow the
machine to cool down for 5 minutes. You can do this a maximum of 3 times, in
which case a longer break must be observed. To protect the unit from overhea-
ting, an overheating protection device is built into the unit which switches it off if
the temperature is too high. After cooling down sufficiently, the unit is ready for
