Subsequently, the headband must be
reinserted into the helmet. It is essential
that care be taken with regard to the
correct and complete installation of the
interior harness, as this is the only
guarantee of the protective function of
the helmet. Special attention must be paid
to the fact that the headband is installed in such a way that the
gear cover is properly legible when the helmet is put on.
4.4 Adjustment of the chinstrap
The chinstrap can be opened and closed using a plastic key lock. Infinite
adjustment is achieved by pulling the end of the chinstrap, while pulling in the
opposite direction carries out loosening.
In order to ensure the ideal fit of the
chinstrap, the position of the strap can
be altered by adjusting the Velcro
fastening in the neck area.
The chinstrap can be perfectly adjusted
to the shape of the head by means of the
traverse strap with Velcro fastening.
If the contact in the neck area is
supposed to be especially tight, the
transverse strap can be pulled through the
eyelet and attached on the back with Velcro.
If a chin protector is employed, the length
of the chinstrap must be such that the
protector sits tightly.
NOTE: In general, the straps (particularly those above the head) should
be tensioned in such a way that they fit tightly, but provide comfortable
wear.
