♦ Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate
matches the mains voltage before plugging in the
appliance.
♦ Connect the appliance to a 16 amp earthed mains
socket.
♦ The appliance's plug must fit into the mains socket prop-
erly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
♦ Use the appliance in a well ventilated area.
♦ Make sure the room is adequately ventilated if other
appliances powered by gas or other types of fuel are
being used in the same room at the same time.
♦ Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight.
♦ The appliance should only be used with the supplied feet
or wall brackets.
♦ The appliance should be used and placed on a flat and
stable surface.

♦ This appliance is not suitable for outdoor use.

appliance, it is advisable to have a differential current
device with a maximum sensitivity of 30mA. Ask for

Use and care:

♦ Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not
work.

connected to the mains.
♦ Unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use
and before undertaking any cleaning task.

♦ Turning the thermostat control to the minimum (MIN)
setting does not guarantee that the iron is switched off
completely.

♦ Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by special-
ist personnel, and that only original spare parts or acces-
sories are used to replace existing parts/accessories.
♦ CAUTION: There is a risk of fire if the appliance is not
cleaned in accordance with these instructions.
