SET-UP

1. POWER SOURCE

Ensure that the power source to be utilized conforms to the power requirements
specified on the product nameplate.

2. POWER SWITCH

Ensure that the power switch is in the OFF position. If the plug is connected to a power
receptacle while the power switch is in the ON position, the power tool will start
operating immediately, inviting serious injury.

3. EXTENSION CORD

When the work area is removed from the power source, use an extension cord of
sufficient thickness and rated capacity. The extension cord should be kept as short as
practical.
4. MIXING PADDLE
Secure the male-threaded paddle in the chuck and tighten with supplied wrench.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

MIXING
To use for mixing thin-set, grout, mortar, paint.
CAUTION: Use extreme caution to avoid getting water in the mixer, and around your
working area. Add water to the mix container away from the mixer, electrical supply
cords, and your work area. Wear rubber boots and gloves when mixing material
containing water.
In the event water enters the power mixer housing, DO NOT OPERATE THE MIXER
UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY DRY! Damage to your mixer, electric shock, or severe bodily
injury may occur!
a. To keep the mixer motor running at full speed without continuously squeezing
the trigger:
1. First, squeeze the trigger.
2. Then, press the trigger lock button.
3. While pressing the button, release the trigger.
The mixer is now locked into the ON position and will continue to run.
To release the trigger lock, squeeze the trigger.
b. Secure the male—threaded mixing paddle in the chuck with the supplied wrench.
The supplied mixing paddle is ideal for thinset grouts and other viscous materials.
c. Use a bucket or mixing vessel at least 25% larger than the volume of material you
intend to mix. Do not fill the container to the top. For example, if you are using a five
gallon bucket, leave at least four inches at the top to minimize spills and splashing.
d. Run the mixer at low speed using the variable speed dial until the dry material and
water are evenly distributed. Do not run the mixer at high speed if it appears to be
slowed down or labored. If the mixer begins to heat up, allow it to cool, then run at a
lower speed.
e. When finished mixing, remove the mixing paddle from the mixer. Wipe any water,
mud or debris from the mixer with a clean, dry cloth. Wash the mixing paddle with
clean water. Do not allow grout, mortar or paint to dry on the mixing paddle.
