5.1

Operation with three-phase motors / spur gear motors

5.1.1

Preparing drum emptying

Make sure that a connection to the
>
power and compressed air supply is
ensured within spitting distance of
the drum emptying place.
For changing the position lower the
>
pump with follower plate to approx.
30 cm above floor level (1).
Too much lowering can damage the
>
follower plate when changing posi-
tion.
5.1.2

Drum emptying

Set the master switch to "Off" before
>
you plug the mains connector in.
Lift the follower plate above drum
>
level using the hand-held control unit
(2).
The hand-held control unit has
two speeds:
slow movement (3)
fast movement (4)
Align the follower plate centre above
>
the drum.
If you have drums with a smaller
>
opening place the follower plate ec-
centrically at the edge of the drum
(7).
Do not close the locking brakes at
>
the trolley.
Open the ball valve (5) (ball valve (6)
>
remains closed) to let the air escape
from the drum.
Observe the safety notes provided in chapter 2.
Observe the admissible operating pressure of the hose.
Ensure sufficient nominal diameter.
Choose the hose length as short as possible.
Do not strain the compressed-air line to tension.
Do not exceed the maximum pressure of compressed air.
