Safety Information

• To ensure that the tester is used safely, follow these
instructions.
• Do not use the Digital multimeter if the tester or test
leads appear damaged, or if you suspect that the
Digital multimeter is not operating properly.
• Disconnect the live test lead before disconnecting the
common test lead.
• When using the test leads, keep your fingers behind
the finger guards on the test leads.
• Do not apply more than 600 V rms between a Digital
multimeter terminal and earth ground.
• Disconnect the test leads from the object circuit before
measuring the voltage. The Digital multimeter enters
scan mode automatically. Then connect the test leads
to the voltage. Do not connect the test leads to the
circuit first and then make it switched on before the
circuit is powered. If so, the Digital multimeter will
go to the resistance measure function first when it is
powered, and it is easy to be damaged or wrongly
operated when the power is suddently switched on.
• Use caution when working with voltages above 60 V
DC or 30 V AC rms. Such voltages pose a shock hazard.
• The user is cautioned that failure to use this equip-
ment in accordance with the manufacturer's instruc-
tions may be detrimental to the operation of this
equipment and may impair any safeguards within this
equipment.

Safety Symbols

Symbols used on the meter and in this manual are
explained page 2.
1. Automatic Selection
• Set the rotary function switch to "Auto" position.
• Insert the red test lead to the "V/Ω/Hz /
and the black test lead to the
• When turned on the Digital multimeter powers up in
SCAN mode. "SCAn" will appear in the LCD. Test the
object by 2 test leads, you'll get the tested AC,
DC voltages or resistance.
• The Digital multimeter automatically selects the
appropriate measurement mode and range.
• Without exterior voltage, the Digital multimeter shifts
to resistance measure mode to measure it when the
resistance in the input terminals is below 40 MΩ.
• Input DC voltage between +0.8 V and +600 V on the
input terminals, or between -0.12 V and -600V, or
even AC voltage between 3 V and 600 V (frequency
between 40 Hz and 4000 Hz), then the Digital multi-
meter enters the corresponding measure mode for DC
voltage or AC voltage.
• In DC and AC voltage modes, the Digital multimeter
has high input impedance (10 MΩ).
Resistance Measurement
Refer to Automatic Selection.
Without exterior voltage, the Digital multimeter shifts to
resistance measure mode when the resistance in the
input terminal is below 40 MΩ.
The tested resistance will be shown with figures,
accompanying corresponding units Ω, Ωk or ΩM. In
resistance measure mode, do not impose voltage on the
test resistance lest it is damaged or wrongly operated.
DC and AC voltage
Refer to Automatic Selection.
When the Volts DC is above +0.8 V or -0.12 V, Volts
AC is above 3 Vrms, the Digital multimeter enters volt
measure mode automatically. The LCD will indicate the
voltage with DC or AC and it is shown with figures in the
corresponding units V.
Change the test leads for the contacting point of the
tested circuit if you want to test the DC voltage below 0.8
V, you can get the voltage of ad low as 0.12 V.
• When AC and DC voltage are simultaneeously
contained, the Digital multimeter will only show the
voltage which has a larger virtual value (DC or AC).
2. Keys Defenition
1. SELECT Key
In auto selection status, "Just one key selects the mea-
surement function" mode happens if this key is pressed
in "SCAn" appears in the LCD. Continuously press this
key, the Digital multimeter will exit the status of auto se-
lection and then enter the specific measure mode, DCV,
ACV, OHM, Diode, Continuity, Capacity, SCAN can be
selected in turn, and it can be press SELECT more than

directly. "SCAn" appearing in the LCD means it returns
to auto selection mode. At temperature measuring
mode, press SELECT can switch °C/°F display.
At current measuring mode, press SELECT can select
DCA/ACA function.
2. Hz/DUTY Key
a. Hz/DUTY is a frequency/pulse duration ratio key, and
it acts with trigger. In AC voltage or DC current
measurement mode, press this key to select voltage/
frequency/duty cycle measurement mode.
b. In auto selection mode, the key has no effect on them.
3. HOLD/
a. Press this button less than 2 seconds the meter enter
data hold mode and "HOLD" symbol appear on LCD,
and the momentary value while pressing the button
display on LCD.
Press it again to exit this mode and "HOLD" symbol
